The cold months containing an ‘R’ in their spelling (like January or February) are said to be the best ones for seafood. It seem like that shrimps, crabs, etc grow best in colder waters and that is why you should take advantage to have some of those in he cold season. Preferrably in a hot soup or chowder tto warm up. What you need (for 4 servings)
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 2 dents garlic
- 4 spoons olive oil
- 12 shrimps
- 1 small-medium sized squid
- 12 mussles (with no shell)
- salt
- pepper or cayenne pepper
- 450ml fish stock
How you do it:
Heat up the oil in a pan. Chop the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and roast the in the oil. Peel the shrimps. Dice Shrimps, squid, and mussles. Add them to the pan and keep roasting for a couple of minutes. Season wih salt and pepper. (If you want some extra spicy kick use cayenne pepper instead of regular pepper). Cover with fish stock and boil for 10 minutes. Once everything is cooked well blend soup until you get a super creamy texture.
