Recently I found my mom’s waffle iron. This is a thing I have not done in ages. Perhaps last time when I went to elementary school I made those waffles with my mom.
So, as the waffle iron is still working (those household appliances from the 90ies are indestructible), it is time for waffles.
What you need (aprox 8 waffles)
- 200g flour
- 3 eggs
- 75g honey
- 125g butter
- 1 spoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 150g greek yoghurt
How you do it
Whisk eggs, vanilla and honey until you get a foamy texture. Add butter. Keep whisking all ingredients together.
Mix flour and baking soda and add those slowly to the batter.
Lastly add the greek yoghurt
Heat up the waffle iron. Use 2 spoons of batter. (Depending on the iron you are usibg you may have to vary the amount) Spread the batter thoroughly on the iron and close the lid. The waffle should be ready in aprox 2 minutes.
Repeat until you run out of batter.
Serve and enjoy
