Salmon Tartar

After so much travelling it is good to be back home and do some old fashioned cooking. As I was a little bit lazy I went for some salmon tatar which can be made easy and without a stove.

What you need (2 portions)

  • 200g salmon loin
  • 1/4 fresh onion
  • 2 pickles
  • 3 spoons mayonnaise
  • 2 spoons vinegar
  • 1 spoon fresh chopped dill
  • 1 teasponn sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How you do it:

Clean the salmon loin. Strip off the skin and make sure to get rid of all the bones. (If not the tartar will not be as enjoyable). When you are done dice the salmon

Chop the onion. You can use the bulb but I prefer the green fresh part of the onion. Mix with the salmon. Add the mayonnaise, vinegar, chopped dill, salt, pepper and sugar. Mix cautiously avoiding to rip apart the salmon dices.

Let the mix macerate for 30-45 minutes

Serve and enjoy
