It’s pride month! This year most of the LGTBQ+ pride activities will be held virtually, due to the current pandemic situation. So here is my share in this year’s pride.
Before I share the recipe, I would like to apologise that I was not able to get all colours on the pops (mostly because I ran out of the specific dyes). Hope it is OK for all reading this. I promise to make it up in the upcoming weeks.
What you need
- 200g lemon cake (recipe here)
- 45g icing sugar
- 60g butter
- 90g cream cheese
- 200g white chocolate
- dyes
- cake pop sticks
How you do it:
Tear the cake into small pieces. Add butter, sugar and cream cheese. Mix/knead until you get a smooth dough.
Form small balls and place them in a cake pop recipient and set aside.
Melt white chocolate. Before separating into different bowls for adding dyes, take your pop sticks and dip them into the chocolate. Afterwards put them into your cake pops (the chocolate will act as a glue).
Now split the molten chocolate into different bowls. Add to each a different drop of dye. Mix lightly to get thes planet “stormy” texture.
Dip each pop in a differnt colour bowl. Rinse of excess chocolate and place for cooling.
Dig in and enjoy
