Chickpea Turkey Tajine

Pack out your tajine! It is time for a new recipe made Morroccan style

What you need (serves 2)

  • 200g turkey breast
  • 400g cooked chickpeas
  • 1 zucchini
  • 4 dents garlic
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 400ml chicken stock
  • 1 spoon harissa
  • 2 spoons salt
  • 5 spoons olive oil
  • 1 spoon sesame oil
  • 1 bay leaf

How you do it

Fill the tajine with water and let it set for minimum 10 minutes.

Peel and chop garlic. Slice turkey breast, zucchini, and pepper (make sure to remove the pepper’s seeds).

Remove the water from the tajine. Add the oils and heat the tajine up. Roastt he veggies and turkey breast. Afterwards add the chickpeas. Season with harissa, salt, and bay leaf. Fill up the tajine with the chicken stock. Once the stock starts boiling cover the tajine with its lid and reduce temperature.

Cook for aprox 1 hour.

Serve and enjoy
