Use this delicious dipping sauce for any or all gyozas you make or buy. It can also be used for veggie gyozas and gyoza soups.And if you have some excess just store in in your fridge.
What you need
- 1/4 cup miso broth
- 1/4 regular meat stock
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
- 1 spoon chopped fresh onion (white part only)
- 1 spoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon spicy chili paste (tobanjan)
- 1/4 cup sake
- 1 spoon mirin
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
How you do it:
Mix both stocks together and set aside.
Heat up sesame oil in a small pan or skillet. Stir fry garlic, onion, and ginger for 1-2 minutes. Add sugar, chili, sake and mirin and letthe mix boil. Whisk in slowly the stock mix and vinegar. Cook for a few seconds
Serve, dip in your gyozas, and enjoy
