This recipe is actually not mine. I learned it during a trip through the most beautiful Thiland last year.
While being in Chiang Mai I signed up to a cookig course with the Baan Farm Thai Cooking School. An absolute must if you are a fan of Thai cuisine. and perfect opportunity to get some recipes and fantastic skills. Thanks to Baan Farm Thai Cooking School for the recipe
What you need (1 portion)
- 50g rice noodles
- 30g shrimps (peeled)
- 20g cubed tofu
- 10g bean sprouts
- 10g garlic chive
- 2 spoons oil (soy oil works best)
- 1/4 lime
- 1 teaspoon crushed peanuts
Pad Thai Sauce
- 2 spoons tamarind juice
- 1/2 spoon palm or coconut sugar
- 1 spoon soy sauce
- 1 spoon fish sauce
- 1 spoon oyster sauce
How you do it:
Whisk all ingredients for the soy sauce together until you have a homogeneous sauce.
In a wok roast tofu with with egg. Afterwards, add noodles and keep roasting for 1 minute
Add Pad Thai Sauce and the rest of ingredients. Keep in the wok until all ingredients are cooked well
Serve on a plate and decorate with crushed peanuts and lime.
