Glühwein / Mulled Wine

Christmas is coming and the temperatures are getting lower and lower. So what’s better than a cup of hot mulled wine or as the Germans say ‘Glühwein’. Usually you will find it on the typical German Christmas Market but here is The Chef Cat’s original recipe.

What you need:

  • 1,5 l rosé wine
  • 6 spoons borwn sugar
  • 1 spoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cinnamon canes
  • 1 sliced small apple
  • 2 orange slices

 

How you do it:

Ok this is easy. Put all ingredients together in a pot. Heat the wine up (CAUTION: Don’t let it boil!!!) The longer you heat it up the more intense you will taste the spices

Serve and enjoy

PS: If you want to give it some ‘extra-kick’ add a shot of cherry liquor
